How to Make the Most of your Backyard

With Summer just around the corner, now is the perfect time to start thinking about ways to make the most of your backyard this coming season. Your backyard is your personal space to customize however you want! Here are some useful tips on how to best utilize the area:

  1. Incorporate Furniture Pieces - Adding furniture to a backyard not only provides functional decoration, but it can also be a great way to define space in your backyard. This can be either a few chairs, a love seat, or an outdoor dining set. You can also further separate the seating area from the rest of the back yard by adding an outdoor rug.

  2. Build your Own Firepit - A firepit is a great way to gather friends outside. You can make your own by digging a circular hole in the ground and placing decorative stones around the outside. Just may sure you are 10-25 feet away from your house before you dig!

  3. Add Potted Plants - You can use the most of your space by getting potted plants. Plants like cucumbers and tomatoes grow upwards on trellises, so you will not be using a lot of yard space. In addition to this plants providing decorative greenery, you'll also have fresh vegetables!

  1. Add a Focal Point - Whether this is a patio set, a stone path, or a water feature, adding multiple attractive areas to your yard will make the space appear both larger and more organized.
